Well hello folks!
So, I have some exciting news for everyone...
...I am moving!
Yep, the girl who hates moving is moving yet again. At the beginning of January I will be moving to the great big ole state of Texas. Abilene, Texas, to be exact. I have been given the opportunity to grow in my walk with the Lord through going to a ministry school for four months. And the cool part is that it is still a part of Adventures in Missions!
As many know I have a heart for Ireland and feel as though that passion is God given. Ireland? I thought you just said Texas. I did, you read right. However, I truly believe my time in Texas is going to help spur my goal for one day living in Ireland forward. And here's how:
The school is called the Center for Global Action and focuses on three main things; Community, Discipleship, and Apprenticeship.
Community- In the CGA, apprentices live in a community house and develop community by living and serving together.
Discipleship- Top leaders and disciplers internally and externally will invest in apprentices both in and out of the classroom.
Apprenticeship- Apprentices in the CGA serve a half-day in their specified area of interest, earning hands-on experience in their field.
I will be apart of the inaugural class of the Healing Track in Abilene, TX. In this track, Adventures is partnering with Iris, Bethel, and Catch the Fire to empower you to pursue inner healing in your own life and the lives of others. In order to pursue full time ministry in Ireland, a place of brokenness, I myself need to walk through some healing. As well as learn how to walk others through this same healing.
Life is rough, but God. God is good and being here in Gainesville has been hard but exactly what I needed when I needed it. I have grown in many aspects of my life while here. And I truly believe the healing that I am seeking started here in Gainesville and I am holding onto the promise of Philippians 1:6, "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
With going to this school comes needing partners. I need financial parters to support me. I have to raise a total of $3600. This amount covers my living expenses while in Texas, as well as classroom supplies. In addition it will help to cover moving expenses. Please consider becoming a financial partner. One time and monthly gifts are both very helpful!
